Opera Club's "Oklahoma"
For their 62nd production the Glasgow Light Opera Club chose to present the much loved "Oklahoma" by Rogers and Hammerstein in the King's last night.

Ann Veitch is Laurey, tuneful, if a trifle over - emphatic, and Allan McAllister is an excellent Curly.

Edna Smith was well in character as Aunt Eller, and Morag Frew combined personality with good dancing in the ballet sequence. The male chorus were good, but the girls chorus suffered from being dressed too much alike and from being too static in their movements.
