Delightful fairytale
Finian's Rainbow, which includes such favourite numbers as "That Old Devil Moon" and "How Are Things In Glocca Morra?" is being presented this week by the Glasgow Light Opera Club at the King's Theatre, Glasgow.

The delightful fairytale, in which the action takes place in a mythical state where the tobacco crop and the imagination run riot, is staged with verve and enthusiasm, aided by colourful scenery and costumes.

Outstanding were Gordon Crockert, in his portrayal of Og, the leprechaun, who was equally successful in comedy, song, and dance; Jack Holmes, in the role of Finian, and Gordon Telfer as Woody, and the Charming Ann Veitch as Sharon.

The three children must not be forgotten. They were most professional despite their youth.

The production is being staged in aid of the Hansel Village, Symington, Ayrshire.
