Showboat

A musical play in two acts by Hammerstein and Kern. (1927).

A powerful love story spanning the generations set on the Mississippi in the 1880's. This classic musical touches on most aspects of human behaviour: love, hate, racism, loyalty and addiction. The song "Ol' Man River" sets the moral of the story with the occasional light relief thrown in.

Producer - Alan C. Jones
Musical Director - Gordon Currie
Choreographer - Christine Lacey

The chosen charity for this show was Quarrier's Epilepsy Centre and they benefited from a donation of £1500.
