[The Cast] The King and I

A musical play in two acts by Rogers and Hammerstein. (1951).

Based on the novel "Anna and the King of Siam" by Margaret Landon, the musical follows Anna Leonowens to Siam where she becomes governess of the King's children and wives. It successfully explores the differences between the English and Siamese cultures as the King strives to achieve Western ideals which conflict violently with his own culture. A love story, well told.

Producer - Alan C. Jones
Musical Director - R. John Howden
Choreographer - Rita Jane Kinloch
